Publication that compiles the first season of Plǝt-, a project space based in Amsterdam run by Diego Díez & Dieuwertje Hehewerth between 2017 and 2018.

Plǝt- is a living room in Amsterdam, host to a series of events focusing on contemporary art. Functioning as a living and an exhibition space, Plǝt- forms new perspectives on contemporary art through the action of living with the work.

Plǝt- hosts openings, closings and additional programs, with each exhibition documented from the perspective of the tenant, alongside invited contributions. Oscillating between public and private, Plǝt- positions itself within both personal and academic discourses. Exhibiting international artists in Amsterdam, Plǝt- re-examines and utilizes space in the city to its full potential. Existing equally through physical installment, programmed events, and publications, Plǝt-’s approach is empirical, theoretical and contextual: using the specificity of a given situation as an opportunity to explore contemporary art.

The publication includes works and photo documentation of artists David Ostrowski, Michail Pirgelis, Gerda Scheepers, Alain Urrutia, Natalia Rolón, Henrik Olai Kaarstein, Babette Semmer and Rasmus Nilausen.

With texts by Diego Díez, Dieuwertje Hehewerth and contributors Tilo & Toni, Àngels Díaz Miralda Tena, Tim Hollander, Lena Ipsen, Karin Iturralde, Vytautas Kumza, Marti Manen, María Lucía Marcote García, Sonia Fernández Pan, Marion Vasseur Raluy, Lara Wilhelmine Hoffmann and Silke Xenia Juul.

The printing of the publication is supported by the AFK (Amsterdam Fund for the Arts)
